Privacy Policy

The short version

Confetti Story Kits collects very little. If you join the email list, we keep your email address to tell you about new kits and deals. The Quest Master keeps everything on your own phone. Purchases happen on Etsy. We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking cookies.

Email sign-ups

When you sign up for kit news, your email address is collected through our form provider, Tally (tally.so), and may later be moved to our email service, Kit (kit.com). We use it only to send news about new kits, holiday releases and deals.

Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us and we'll remove you.

The Quest Master

The Quest Master is a web page that runs in your phone's browser. The details you type into it, like your child's first name, your progress and any custom clues, are saved only in that browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us or anyone else, and you can clear them anytime by tapping Restart or clearing your browser data.

The Quest Master uses your browser's built-in voice to read clues aloud only when you tap the button.

Purchases

Kits are sold through Etsy. When you buy, Etsy handles payment, your account and the download, under Etsy's own privacy policy. We receive the order details Etsy shares with sellers and use them only to fulfill your order and help with any problems.

Children

This website is meant for parents, caregivers and teachers, not for children to use on their own. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The child's name you may type into the Quest Master stays on your device and is never sent to us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Services we use

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security. The sign-up form is provided by Tally. Fonts and images are served from this site. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

Questions or requests about your information: hello@katekness.com, or message us through our Etsy shop.
